Red Bull Racing Australia today congratulates Jeromy Moore on his new role as a Performance Engineer on the Porsche LMP1 programme in the World Endurance Championship.

Moore, who has been with Triple Eight Race Engineering since its inception in 2003, will be heading to Europe later this week, leaving his role as Chief Designer and Race Engineer for Craig Lowndes. Having joined forces in 2008, Moore has engineered the No.888 Holden driver to second place in the V8 Supercars Championship three times, never finishing outside of the top four.

“It’s a big challenge,” Moore said. “I’m quite nervous, but excited.  I haven’t lived outside of a radius of 100km of here, so Germany’s a little bit further afield than that. I’ve got a different life experience ahead of me, but I’m looking forward to it and there are good times ahead I hope.

“Being in V8 Supercars for 14 years, you sort of get into a groove and you feel like you’re not challenging yourself as much anymore. I think completely different cars, a completely different series, tracks, people, language, it’ll be a good challenge for me and great experience.

“I am sorry to leave what has effectively become my second family, and give thanks primarily to RD – without his help and guidance I would have never become half the engineer and person I am now.”

Stepping into the position of Race Engineer for Craig is Grant McPherson, who joined Triple Eight last week after an extremely successful eight years at Ford Performance Racing.

Meanwhile, David Cauchi remains as Race Engineer for Jamie Whincup, coming off the back of a highly successful 2014 campaign, which saw Jamie claim his record-breaking sixth championship.

We also welcome Andrew Trathen to the team as a Junior Design Engineer, while John McGregor continues as Senior Data Engineer and Technical Director Ludo Lacroix remains at the head of the Engineering Department.

Furthermore, we are very pleased to announce that the highly respected former team principal of the Holden Racing Team, Mike Henry, joins Red Bull Racing Australia as a consultant to assist us during the year, with particular emphasis on the PIRTEK Enduro Cup campaign.

Everyone at Triple Eight Race Engineering joins in wishing “JJ” all the very best in his new venture in Europe and also in thanking him for his major contribution to the Team’s success over the last eleven years.
