Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson

Commercial Manager

Tom is the glue between the Red Bull Holden Racing Team and our family of Team Partners.

Since his first taste of cars at Silverstone watching his father race historics as a 10-day-old (yes, you read that right), Tom has lived and breathed the automotive world and motorsport circus.

After joining the Triple Eight Commercial Team at the start of 2014, he was promoted to Commercial Manager mid-2016 where he’s responsible for managing the tender relationship between delivering motorsport marketing dreams for our Partners and not causing early-life hair loss and high blood pressure amongst the performance crew.

The secret? Well stocked Red Bull fridges.

Nuri Paterson

Financial Director

The master of the spreadsheet and a key behind-the-scenes figure of Triple Eight Race Engineering’s operations, Nuri joined the company as a financial controller in 2005 – one month after Craig Lowndes signed on.

With her came a wealth of motorsport experience, having grown up as an avid F1 fan and previously worked for two of the sport’s greatest teams: Ferrari and McLaren.

Garth Tander

Garth Tander

Co-driver

GT

The West Aussie was our first choice when we needed someone to put up with SVG’s antics and co-drive the #97 Red Bull Holden Commodore, and came out with a bang after finishing runner-up in the Pirtek Enduro Cup behind their teammates in their inaugural year together.

The three-time Bathurst 1000 winner and 2007 Supercars champion sits fourth on Supercars’ all-time winners’ list with 54 victories, behind only Jamie Whincup, Craig Lowndes and Mark Skaife.

Craig Lowndes

Craig Lowndes

Co-driver

CL

He’s one of Australia’s most popular and recognised racing drivers with an impressive resume to match. Three championships, seven Bathurst 1000 wins, five Barry Sheene medals and an Order of Australia medal to top it off – is there anything he can’t do?

CL bowed out of full-time competition at the end of 2018 in which he claimed his seventh Bathurst victory, before becoming JDub’s co-pilot in the #888 Commodore for the Supercars endurance season.

Jeromy Moore

Jeromy Moore

JJ

JJ is the tech guru of the entire operation here at the Red Bull Holden Racing Team.

Moore has been with Triple Eight as an engineer since its inception in 2003, before acting as the smiling assassin’s (we mean Lowndsey) race engineer from 2008 and progressing to chief designer.

After 12 years at Triple Eight and concerns he was starting to morph into a junior RD (let us tell you, nobody wants that!), JJ headed over to Germany at the start of 2015, having accepted an exciting role with Porsche.

His time with the German powerhouse was focused on their World Endurance Championship program, race-engineering its #2 entry to victory in the championship and at Le Mans in 2016.

Now back in Triple Eight Land, he oversees the technical directive of the team’s Supercars Championship, Dunlop Super2 Series and GT operations.

David Cauchi

David Cauchi

Race Engineer #88

DC

DC joined Triple Eight in 2007 as a data engineer before the boss deemed the young talent deserving of a promotion.

Following a 2014 engineering reshuffle with Mark Dutton promoted to Team Manager, Cauchi landed the important position of Jamie Whincup’s race engineer.

Now Supercars’ Batman and Robin, the combo won the Drivers’ Championship title first time, claiming another championship in 2017.

When not at the track, the two of them can often be found hiding in a corner of RBHRT HQ’s boardroom, armed with sheets of data and a slab of Red Bull.

Grant McPherson

Race Engineer #97

SHIPPY

When you have this man as your race engineer, you know everything is in ship-shape.

Since moving back to his home city in 2015 to join Triple Eight, switching from Ford to Holden, we think we can all say with confidence that he hasn’t looked back – if you can’t beat them, join them, aye! Starting off as CL’s race engineer in 2015, Shippy’s influence was a key factor in Craig finishing second in the championship, a year where they tasted ultimate glory at the Bathurst 1000 with Steve Richards.

In 2016, Shippy was tapped on the shoulder to be race engineer for new kid on the block, SVG.

That same year, SVG won his first championship in his first year at the team.

Mark Dutton

Mark Dutton

Team Manager

DUTTO

Dutto is one of the most highly respected members of the Supercars paddock today, and an all-round legend.

Having started in the industry in 2001 with Larkham Motor Sport, Dutton progressed to race engineer for Briggs Motor Sport, which was taken over by Triple Eight Race Engineering in 2003. Dutto studied mechanical engineering at Queensland University of Technology, being named Young Alumnus of the Year in 2012 for his achievements.

In 2007, he joined forces with Jamie Whincup as race engineer.

The dynamic due made their mark in the history books, and to this day Dutton is the most successful race engineer in the modern era of the sport in terms of results.

Impressed by the boss, in 2014 he was promoted to team manager, and since then with Dutto at the helm, Triple Eight Race Engineering added another three drivers’ and four teams’ championships to its tally.

Roland Dane

Roland Dane

Owner, Team Principal

RD

Born in Ireland and later moving to England, RD’s interests have long revolved around anything that he could race. In 1996, he co-founded Triple Eight Race Engineering in the UK – General Motor’s factory British Touring Car Championship racing team.

However, after dominating that series, the lure of the bumper-bashing, tyre-squealing adrenaline in V8 Supercars proved too great for RD.

In late 2003, he took over the former Briggs Motorsport and began the transformation into the Supercars Championship powerhouse with one clear objective: win races and championships. 2016 also saw RD become an Aussie, cementing even further his love for the Australian way of life and his ongoing commitment to Australian motorsport.

Today, Triple Eight has carved a name for itself in the history books, clocking up nine Teams Championships, eight Drivers titles and seven Bathurst 1000 wins.
